Fire time = time outside

Last year, my husband added a fire pit to our patio for photome to enjoy when we entertain friends and family. When the grandkids visit, I love to put up the tent in the backyard and get out the sleeping bags and build a fire. Building a fire is fun since we have a backyard full of mature willow oaks and sticks are plentiful so the kids can collect small pieces of wood and sticks for the fire. It gets us outside cooking hot dogs on sticks that they found—yes, non-sanitized sticks they found for cooking their hot dogs—which was their idea! Ending our meal with s’mores is a must! But most of all, being outside and looking up at the stars is the best way to end a day.
